Cooking Class, Day 1: A Healthful Breakfast
Beginning on Monday of next week, I will be teaching a cooking class as part of Stevenson School’s Junior Camp at the Carmel Campus. I have taught cooking there for the past two summers, and it has been a great experience. Students really are more open to trying something if they had a hand in making it! Next week’s class will be based on a road trip that I took only a few weeks ago, across the Southern part of the country. We will explore cuisines and culture from different stops that I made along the way, including Florida, Louisiana, Texas, and California.
While a lot of cooking class is about having fun, trying new things, and teamwork, we also learn about nutrition. On Monday, we will focus on building a healthful breakfast, which is pretty simple if you follow this formula:
Stay tuned to see what we make on Monday! And be sure to check back for photos of the culinary masterpieces that we create throughout the week!
